1. Information We Collect
We collect your email address when you create an account. We also store your alert preferences (which categories, neighborhoods, genres, leagues, and beer styles you’re interested in), which venues you follow, and your subscription status. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment information directly — we never see or store your credit card number.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your email address solely to send you bar alerts based on your preferences and occasional service-related communications (e.g., subscription confirmations, account changes, and policy updates). We do not send marketing emails and we do not share or sell your email to third parties for advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy governing their handling of your data: Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (language-model processing of venue data — no personal user data is sent to Anthropic), Google Places (venue data), Untappd (tap lists), Bandsintown and Songkick (event data), and TheSportsDB (sports schedules).
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS). We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@barbeacon.app.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
6. Age Restrictions
BarBeacon is intended for users aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings or by emailing us. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to deletion, and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information).
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email.
